I’m not going to tell you what to eat cos that won’t keep you on budget (but you can pull from our choices – I’m sharing my plan for the week.) Instead, I’m guiding you through my process I use to meal plan every week to feed our family of 5 on a below average budget. The practice of planning is the top thing that keeps us on budget with our food, so I’m taking you through my step by step weekly process.

We’ll also talk about snacks, budgeting for weird weeks, and all the ways meal planning keeps us on budget without even changing up what we eat.

As a mum of three, I know how challenging it can be to feed a family on a budget, especially when you’re trying to keep things healthy and simple. After a long summer, we’re finally getting back into our routine, and I’m here to share my step-by-step weekly meal planning process that keeps our grocery spending at just £125 per week!

Bean and rice bowls with roasted veg

Chicken taco soup with homemade tortillas chips

    How do you budget cleaning products into the budget or do you have a separate pot for that?

  2. You mentioned you buy flour once a quarter, where do you buy it from? Also, if you can link the video ( if you made one) how you prepare sourdough bread (and a starter)? I realywant to start doing my own bread but scared of starting😅

  3. Thank you for an acutally realistic meal plan. I love that you used a blank piece of any paper and didn’t try and sell us a printable. I’ve struggled with the complexity of other meal plan videos but yor method really gives me hope! ❤
